Of the Seventh International Competition of Young Performers

"Podilsky Vodogray"

The contest will be held in 2 rounds: the 1st one18-22 March 2025, the 2nd one 25-29 March  2025.

Sources of funding for the competition:

- funds of organizers, patrons and registration fees

The purpose and task of the contest:

-  to identify and support young talented performers;

- to promote Ukrainian and world musical art;

- to develop international cultural relations;

- to exchange pedagogical and executive experience;

- to expand and diversify the concert repertoire of art educational institutions;

- to educate the aesthetic tastes of the younger generation.

Contest participants:

Students of primary specialized art educational institutions (schools of aesthetic education) and students of higher art educational institutions of I-IV levels of accreditation of Ukraine and foreign countries participate in the contest of young performers "Podilskyi Vodogray".

Nominations: "piano"; "guitar"; "string instruments"; "wind and percussion instruments", "piano ensembles", "wind ensembles", "academic vocals".

Categories of participants:

a)    students of primary specialized art educational institutions:

-        A - 7-9 years old;

-        B – 10-12 years old;

-        C – 13-16 years old;

b)    students of higher art educational institutions of I-IV levels of accreditation (specialized music, pedagogical schools, specialized culture and arts schools)

- D - students of I-II courses of music colleges and colleges of culture and arts.

- E – students of III-IV courses of music colleges and colleges of culture and arts.

- F - students of pedagogical universities and pedagogical colleges, specialty "musical art".

- G - students of music academies (conservatories)

Note: students of cultural institutes have the right to choose category “F” or “G”

For ALL categories - 450 hryvnias (20 euros).

Jury of the competition:

The jury includes leading teachers of art educational institutions of Ukraine and foreign countries, composers, well-known performers, representatives of state administration bodies.

Terms of participation in the competition:

- Pupils of primary specialized art educational institutions (schools of aesthetic education) and students of higher art educational institutions of I-IV levels of accreditation of Ukraine and foreign countries are invited to participate in the International Competition of Young Performers "Podilsky Vodogray". Winners of the first prizes of previous years cannot participate in the competition (in the same category).

- Participants must perform 2 different pieces, one of which is virtuosic. It is desirable that one of the works is by a Ukrainian author. Performance time: up to 10 minutes for students of PSMNZ, up to 15 minutes for students of art institutions of I-II levels of accreditation (music schools, music colleges and cultural schools). University - up to 25 minutes.

Evaluation criteria:

During the evaluation, performance technique, artistry of the participant, skill in revealing the artistic image are taken into account.

To participate in the competition, the participant sends to the organizer by e-mail: 

1. Copy and fill out the application, and send it to podilskiy.vn@gmail.com (in a separate letter for each participant)

2. The application must include a link to a video recording of the performance on You Tube

3. Pay the charitable contribution (bank details are indicated), send a copy of the receipt to the e-mail address.

4. The participant uploads the video to You Tube personally. In the application, in the column "Access to the video recording" it is necessary to indicate the link to the video recording of the competitive performance. A video recording of a competitive performance can be both stage and home, but recordings with logos or symbols of other contests and festivals are not allowed.

5. The video recording must be made without switching off and stopping the video camera from the beginning to the end of the performance of the work, that is, the work is performed without stopping and editing. During the performance of the program, the hands, instrument(s), and face of the performer(s) must be visible on the video

Travel and accommodation of the participants in Vinnytsia and back, as well as stay at the competition, are paid for by the sending party.

The jury determines the laureates (I, II, III places) and diploma holders (IV-VI places) of the competition in each age category.

If the number of participants is insufficient, the categories may be combined.

At the decision of the jury, places may not be awarded. The jury's decision is final and cannot be appealed.

The winners of the competition will be awarded diplomas of the competition. All contestants will receive thanks. Teachers and concertmasters will receive certificates.

The organizing committee reserves the right to broadcast, audio and video record competitive performances and use this material free of charge without the permission of the participants.

In case of refusal to participate in the competition, the registration fee is not returned. Participation in the contest is considered as full agreement with all terms and conditions.
The organizing committee is not responsible for the loss of documents during mailing.
